Description

On Windows it is no problem to publish your chess games with DGT ChessTheatre. On Linux there is nothing available. Lucky for us DGT is very open on this product. This tool gives you the possibility to publish your chess games with DGT ChessTheatre.

Usage

Execute the JAR with the appropriate parameters. Be careful with spaces. If the value of a parameter contains a space then you must put the whole value of the parameter between double quotes.

--charsetuit The characterset of the output if it is different from
                 [cp].
--maxBestanden Maximum number of files to hold the games. Default value is 50.

If you do not have that many chess games then the default value of 50 XML files might be a bit high. You can set the maxBestanden to a smaller value or set the minPartijen to a value that gives you less XML files.

top ELO Calculator

Description

The ELO rating is used to 'measure' the strength of a chess player. With this tool you calculate the rating of chess players with a PGN file of a tournament. The calculated ELO ratings are stored in a CVS file (spelerBestand) and can be used later as an input together with another PGN file to ajust the ELO ratings. Every change in rating is stored in the geschiedenisBestand file. This can be used to visualise the evolution of the ratings.

Usage

Execute the JAR with the appropriate parameters. Be careful with spaces. If the value of a parameter contains a space then you must put the whole value of the parameter between double quotes.

top PGN to HTML

Description

As a tournament leader I modify our website by adding the new results. The creation of game matrix is a donkeywork to make sure that the result was put in the right column. There were frequent errors. To make my life easier and reduce the errors I created this tool that uses a PGN file of the tournament. The tool created a HTML file with the matrix and a HTML file with the rankings. These two files can be used with SiteManager to include it on the right web pages.

Usage

Execute the JAR with the appropriate parameters. Be careful with spaces. If the value of a parameter contains a space then you must put the whole value of the parameter between double quotes. The layout of the 2 pages are in 2 properties files in thee resource 'directory' of the jar. This way you can change the layout wiyhout changing the source.

Description

With the help of fellow chessplayer Nico I created a Javascript to replace ChessTheatre (It uses Flashplayer which is no longer supported everywhere). Since JavaScript works well with JSON and not with PGN I created this tool.

top PGN to LaTeX

Description

As a chess player and tournament leader I was looking for a way to put chess games in a PDF file together with a diagram of the final position. I use SCID as a database. In there I found an option to export games in LaTeX format. I processed the file with MiKTeX. Unfortunately the result did not please me. The final position had to be defined in SCID itself. I did not want to add it to all my games. I continued my search and I found SKAK. With this LaTeX package I could add a diagram of the final position without the need to put it in my games. I created this tool to generate the input for LaTeX. Because I only use it to put the chess games of 1 tournament in a PDF file I had the idea to add a matrix to it.

Usage

Execute the JAR with the appropriate parameters. The keywords are used in the header of the PDF file. Be careful with spaces. If the value of a parameter contains a space then you must put the whole value of the parameter between double quotes.
